Before moving to the Pacific Northwest, where I currently reside, I lived in New England and Northern California. I worked for the Zuni at their gallery, Zuni Pueblo, in San Francisco, while also attending California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Research for a master's degree in social/cultural anthropology increased my fascination with the relationship between women, culture, eco-spirituality and traditional arts.

While in the social/cultural degree program at CIIS, I attended the Gaelic College of Celtic Arts & Crafts in Cape Breton. In the weaving classes at the College, I felt as if working on the loom connected me to my foremothers who were also artists and craftswomen. This strengthened my desire to keep cultural traditions alive through my craftwork and to continue my education, leading to a Ph.D. in Transformative Learning and Change from California Institute of Integral Studies.

Combining knowledge gained from fiber craftwork and graduate studies led me to a career as a Freelance Arts/Cultural Non-profit Consultant in order to assist other artists and craftspeople with their endeavors to promote their own creativity. I can help manage, update or create new websites. Artists can take photos of their work on an iPhone or iPad for on-line applications for fine craft shows, gallery exhibits or gallery representation, Artists and craftspeople can send these to me and I can use Photoshop to crop the images for a professional look for the submissions. I also create a larger size which we use for on-line applications for seasonal shows, or to send to galleries interested in exhibiting and promoting the artist.

I am also well-versed in a range of tasks associated with arts/cultural non-profit organizations including ; periodic newsletters to clients/members, database management, text and email correspondence. I am able to perceive and plan for the needs of individual creatives, art groups, or art/cultural organizations accordingly.

With proficiency in the use of Microsoft 365, Zoom and Skype, on MacBook Pro and iMac, I am available to assist artists wherever they reside in ways that will help them to promote their creative expressions. We can meet via Zoom so I can do a “share screen” of the webpage(s) I am working on and get real time feedback on what the artist would like. iI can do the on-line applications for juried shows or exhibiting in a gallery so the artist and craftsperson can focus on creating their work..
